I am a veteran, and I suffered from Cushing’s disease and an undiagnosed tumor in my pituitary gland.
Before an endocrinologist in the VA system found my cortisol levels at 968 (normal <50) and correctly diagnosed my illness, I spent years suffering from weight gain, extreme fatigue, and 27 kidney stones of which 17 were operable, among other debilitating symptoms. I was addicted to pain killers and contemplated suicide.
Three surgeries removed the pituitary tumor. With yoga, I survived the pain, fatigue and psychological burdens of my undiagnosed condition to post surgery health.
Now “Honey Girl” and I enjoy each others company and appreciate life in Katy, TX.
