My turning point in loving yoga came January, 2014.
At 25 years young, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I was working as an accountant, managing my worsening health, and stressing while shielding my family from the diagnosis. My yoga practice became my strength. I left so much behind on the mat, once, sometimes twice, a day. I left behind my sweat and my worries so I could face the reality of that difficult time.
Following a total thyroidectomy, I decided to share my love of hot yoga. One year later, I left my job, landed in Thailand and became a certified teacher!
Now, I am living abroad in Melbourne, Australia, where I teach yoga while pursuing the joys of being a foreigner in Oz.
I thank my yoga practice for giving me the courage, faith, and strength to heal.
Yoga completely changed my life! It helped me embrace the blessings that have come my way. I’ll never be the same and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
